"In order for tourism Sumbar rose faster after the disaster struck, badly needed efforts to remove the fear of foreign tourists to come to West Sumatra," said Chairman PHRI West Sumatra, Padang Yusran Maulana, Wednesday (16/06/2010).
According to him, especially to foreign tourists visiting Padang City has yet to show improvement after a sharp decline after earthquake 30 September 2009 last.
In fact, foreign tourists visiting Padang dominated visitor for surviving but nine months post-disaster condition has not so improved.
Similar conditions, he said, still experienced a tourist destination town in West Sumatra, Bukittinggi mainly because of the fear factor for tourists visiting this area.
Therefore, should be lots of activities on a national scale was held in West Sumatra, as did early June 2010 Event Tour de Singkarak so that the outside world attention
